Bulldog golfers are off and swinging

Hailey Cannon places 11th in Livingston
The Bulldog golf teams took to the links Friday, traveling to Livingston for the first meet of the year and then on Tuesday, the junior varsity team traveled to Lewistown.

This season, Hardin has six boys and three girls out for golf, three of whom participated in the Livingston meet: juniors Hailey Cannon and Taylor Lundberg, and sophomore Jonathan Noteboom.

Other golfers competing this year include senior Maddie Flamm; juniors Nicole Nedens and Matthew Bush; and freshmen Caleb Mason, Ruben Martinez and Kaiden Chavez.

“So far, I’m really impressed,” said Head Coach Amanda Lautt. “The kids are working hard. They’re staying after practice and want to just golf.”

In Livingston, Cannon shot a 53 on the front nine and a 55 out back for a 108 and an 11th place finish.

Noteboom shot a 50 on the front nine and a 49 out back for a 99, and Lundberg shot a 53-55 combo for a 118.

Friday, the Bulldogs will travel to the Miles City meet and on Sept. 2, they will be at home for the Hardin Invite.
