Bulldogs varsity and JV golfers travel to Miles City and Lewistown meets
The Hardin Bulldog golf team traveled to Lewistown on Tuesday, Aug. 23 and Miles City on Friday, Aug 26. Tuesday, the junior varsity team took three golfers to Lewistown for their JV meet.
In girls action, Maddie Flamm golfed her way to a 145 taking third place. For the boys, Matthew Bush golfed a 118 and Caleb Mason a 137.
In varsity play, Jonathan Noteboom, Taylor Lundberg and Matthew Bush played for the boys and Hailey Cannon for the girls.
In Miles City, Noteboon led the way for the Dogs, golfing a 56 on the front nine and a 48 out back for a 104.
Lundberg golfed a 134 with a 68-66 and Bush golfed a 73-67 for a 140. For the girls, Cannon golfed her way to a 52 on the front nine and a 54 out back for a 106.
“Lundberg and Bush did well for never seeing the course before,” said Head Coach Amanda Lautt. “Noteboon is showing huge improvement, shaving 41 strokes off his game from last year’s divisional tournament.”
According to Lautt, “Cannon has a good shot at going to state for the Lady Bulldogs.”
This Friday, the Bulldogs will be at home playing at Fort Custer Golf Course. This meet will see all of the Eastern A teams. Tee-off time is 10 a.m.
