Hailey Cannon to golf for Hardin at state

The Hardin golf team took three players to the divisional meet in Sidney last week and, this week, will send one to state in Hamilton.
The top 15 from each division earn a spot at the meet and, for Hardin, that player was Hailey Cannon, who placed 13th in Sidney at the Eastern A divisional tournament.
According to Head Coach Amanda Lautt, last week’s divisional tournament was moved up a two days due to weather.
Cannon shot a 52 on the front nine and a 56 out back for a 108.
Three Bulldog boys competed at the divisional tournament. While none made state, according to Lautt, they all played their best golf of the season in spite of rainy weather .
For the boys, Jonathan Noteboom led the pack golfing a 46 and 55 for a 101 and Taylor Lundberg stroked his way to a 103 with a 51 on the front nine and a 52 on the back.
Caleb Mason shot his personal best score of the season with a 54 on the front nine and a 60 out back for a 114.
“It was an awesome way to end the season,” Lautt said. “Everyone ended on a strong note.”
State play starts Thursday with a practice round, and the tournament is Friday and Saturday.
