AnnaBelle Rogers remembered for volunteer work throughout Hardin

Senior Center News
The President of the Senior Citizens Association and our dear friend, AnnaBelle Rogers, has passed away the week before Christmas.
AnnaBelle volunteered for anything she could help with – not only at the Hardin Senior Center, but in her church, the Heritage Acres board, and the museum to name a few. She always made the visitors welcome at the center and greeted everyone each day. Her warm smile and laugh is surely missed.
She was a friend to many because she cared for so many people. She kept in touch and visited friends in the nursing home or in the hospital, or even would make a phone call to let them know she was thinking of them. She cared deeply and loved her whole family. She was the one who helped them all through time of loss and sadness.
AnnaBelle never asked much of anyone. She looked after everyone. She stood up for the little guy. She was proud to accomplish the placement of Janet Rogers’ plaque from the downtown outside area into the Big Horn County Courthouse for all to honor. AnnaBelle was named after both of her grandmothers and, thus, the spelling of “AnnaBelle” as her mother wished. AnnaBelle was a servant to all. Condolences are sent to her family including sons George and Loren, and daughter Nan.
Two other Hardin residents passed away this week. Lorraine Meisch and Eunice Koebbe will be fondly remembered as well.
The Senior Citizens bus is available each weekday for transportation. This is a simple way to go shopping. Don’t start up your car. We can pick you up in the morning to take you shopping or to medical appointments or the pharmacy. The phone number is (406) 665-2581.
Beginning in January through Feb. 9, a new guessing game will take place thanks to Cliff and Margaret Arbogast: “Where Is It?” Photos of Margaret’s will be on display and you can guess where they are. The photos are taken in Big Horn County. Stop in and have fun participating.
Activities next week include bingo on Jan. 9 and Jan. 11, a movie the afternoon of Jan. 10, and the seniors meeting at 11 a.m. on Jan. 12. This month’s birthday dinner will be on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Come to the senior center, where you are always welcome and it’s warm, too.
We are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
