Seniors’ February birthday dinner well attended

Senior Center News
The February birthday dinner at the Hardin Senior Center was very well attended. We served 81 meals in all. 
The hostess for the birthday guests was Mrs. Pat Anderson. The guests who were present included Dean Barnes, Shirley Margheim, Vi Lazz, Lee Joyce Denny and Charlene Warren. Delilah Hert enjoyed her meal at home. Joan Noyes donated some Valentine heart notepads.
A 50-50 drawing was held as a fundraiser for the Seniors Association. The winner of $43 was Shirley Margheim, who donated a portion back to the Association. The Seniors Association made a donation to the Council on Aging meals and transportation programs.
First Interstate Bank employee, Violet Hankel, helped to serve the meal to the patrons. As well, First Interstate Bank donates the cost of the ingredients of the birthday meal at the Hardin and Lodge Grass centers each month.
Shirley and Cliff Groombridge provided the birthday cake that was made and decorated at the Big Horn IGA in Hardin. It was lovely, with pink hearts and flowers.
The March birthday dinner will be held on Wednesday, March 21. To make reservations, call (406) 665-2581 or stop in at 317 N. Custer to sign up. All meal reservations for congregate, home-delivered or takeout/pickup for the birthday dinner must be made no later than at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20.
On Thursday, March 8, donations will be taken to the Child and Family Services in Hardin. We are asking for the following items: toothbrushes, hair brushes and combs. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity. Drop off items at the Hardin Senior Center at 317 N. Custer and they will be delivered.
On Wednesday, March 7, volunteers are needed to decorate the Senior Center for March. Gather here at 10 a.m. Your help is appreciated.
On Tuesday, March 7, Tiffani Schubert and Bill Hodges will be back at the senior center with results of the nutrition survey.
The March calendar/menu is available for distribution at the senior center. We are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. 
Like everyone else, we are looking forward to warmer weather and dry pavement. The senior bus has been unable to maneuver the streets in Hardin and therefore has not been able to be in use lately. Hopefully, we can resume soon when the streets are cleared of obstructions.

Thursday, March 1 – pork chops, potatoes and gravy, vegetables, dessert
Friday, March 2 – mac ‘n cheese, hot dogs, vegetables and dip, dessert
Monday, March 5 – hamburger gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dessert
Tuesday, March 6 – ham and bean soup, sandwich, dessert
Wednesday, March 7 – Mexican rice, chips and dip, salad, dessert
Thursday, March 8 – Tater Tot casserole, salad, vegetables, dessert
