Trump tweets and the press melts down

Simply Biased
The press just doesn’t get it. President Donald Trump is playing them – CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the mainstream media are just going insane about it.
What they doesn’t realize is their popularity is worse than Trump’s.
Only 22 percent of people say they have confidence in print journalism, 19 percent in Internet news sources and 18 percent in television news.
In fact, a May 2017 Harvard-Harris poll stated 65 percent of voters believe there is a lot of fake news in the mainstream media.
According to a Gallup poll, taken in March 2017, 62 percent of those sampled believe the media is biased in favor of the Democratic Party. Congress’s approval rating, Gallup states, stands at 21 percent.
Even though Trump’s approval rating is only 37 percent, it’s still far better than either of them.
“The press has become so dishonest that if we don’t talk about [it], we are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people,” Trump said. “We have to talk to find out what’s going on, because the press honestly is out of control. The level of dishonesty is out of control.”
One prime example is CNN last Friday aired a counterfeit National Enquirer cover in a story about MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mike Brzezinski’s claim that Trump tried to blackmail them.
It quickly was found out that the National Enquirer cover was literally fake news. This comes after three CNN reporters resigned over a story, where they falsely reported that Trump had links to a Russian investment fund.
Just how negative has the press been towards President Trump?
According to a study done by Harvard’s Shorenstein Center, at CNN and NBC, 93 percent of the stories on Trump were negative. For CBS, the rate of negativity was 91 percent, for The New York Times it was 87 percent, the Washington Post was 83 percent and the Wall Street Journal was 70 percent. The only news organization to come close to even was Fox News at 52 percent negative.
No wonder Trump has a negative view of the news media organizations. In fact, that’s why he is tweeting – not only to get his message across, but also to fight back against the media. This just drives the mainstream news organization crazy.
One of the problems with the mainstream media is, leading up to the election, they were so in the tank for Hillary Clinton that when she lost, they had a meltdown.
Here are a few examples from the press on election night.
CNN’s political commentator Van Jones said, “I’m hearing about a nightmare. You have people putting children to bed tonight and they are afraid of breakfast. They’re afraid of ‘How do I explain this to my children?’ This was a whitelash against a changing country; it was a whitelash against a black president, in part. And that’s the part where the pain comes.”
On MSNBC, one of their commentators said, “America is crying tonight, everybody is crying. It’s the end of the world. How is this possible?”
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow said, “You’re awake, by the way. You’re not having a terrible, terrible dream. Also, you’re not dead and you haven’t gone to Hell, this is your life now.”
Many on the left melted down. If fact, some of their comments could not be repeated because of the inappropriate language.
I know most in the media – many on the left and some on the right – wished Trump would quit tweeting because it just rattles them to their very core, but in my opinion, Trump knows what he’s doing.
In my opinion, Trump is in a room full of cats – the media – and he’s the one with the laser pointer. He has these cats jumping and chasing the light, and he’s watching them scramble and fail to catch it.
The mainstream press is disintegrating and he’s just enjoying the show.
