Anna Belle Rogers, 91, passed away Dec.16, 2017.
She was born at her grandmother’s house outside Garryowen on March 11, 1926. She worked on the family place until she attended beauty college. Her parents were Evin and Bertha Clawson. She had one older sister, Frances, who preceded her in death and a younger brother, William, who lives in Oklahoma.
She married James F. Rogers on Nov. 20, 1947 in Hardin, and they lived in California and Arizona before moving back to Hardin when they retired.
They had three children: George Rogers who resides in Billings, and Nan Ford and Loren Rogers who reside in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Her husband, son-in- law Floyd Ford and daughter-in- law Janet Rogers preceded her in death.
She has seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Anna Belle was known for her involvement in many community activities including being President of the Senior Association and her work with Heritage Acres. She enjoyed coffee with her girlfriends, sewing, jigsaw puzzles and baking, especially sweet treats. You also could find her at the Congregational Church as an officer and a member, and always willing to help. Her presence will be greatly missed by all whose life she touched. Any donations can be made to the Cancer Society in her name.
A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 in the Hardin First Congregational Church. Inurnment will be held in March 2018. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
