Carol Ann Schomer (Zimmer), 65, unexpectedly passed away on Aug. 4, 2017 at her home in Hardin.
Carol was born in Billings on Sept. 23, 1951. She was raised and schooled in Hardin. Following her high school graduation in 1969, she attended and graduated from Kinman Business College in Spokane, Wash. Carol married Bob Schomer on May 15, 1971.
The majority of Carol’s working career was with Little Horn State Bank. She was an animal lover who kept dogs most of her life. Her favorite dog was Max.
Carol also loved games; she enjoyed playing board, card and dice games with her family and friends. Carol loved to go on walks with her many companions, including her dear friend Dee. Her son Curtis was her pride and joy.
Carol was a person that, if you had a conversation with her, you felt like you’d just spoken with a lifelong friend. Carol was truly a remarkable person who will be deeply missed.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Bob Schomer; their son Curtis (Haley) Schomer; grandson Jaden Schomer; brother Ron Zimmer; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces; and numerous close friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Esther Zimmer.
Public visitation will be held at the Bullis Family Center in Hardin on Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a private family visitation from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 at Hardin E&R Church with Pastor Able Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Hardin Cemetery; a reception will be held at Bud’s Catering.
