Eunice M. Koebbe

Eunice M. Koebbe

On the afternoon of Christmas Eve, the Lord decided He needed another angel in His choir, so He called our mom.

Eunice M. Koebbe, 90, formerly of Hardin, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2017 at Morning Star Senior Living, with her family at her side.  Born in Hardin, MT on April 12, 1927 to Edward and Mary Torske, she attended schools in Hardin, graduating in 1945, and briefly attended Montana State University.  On September 21, 1947, Eunice married the love of her life, Ronald A. Koebbe.  To this union were born “the four K’s” – Keryl, Kim Kurt, and Kerrie.

Early in her marriage, she worked at Ricker Drug (later Jack’s Pharmacy), but her primary calling was being a homemaker. Eunice was a charter member of the First American Lutheran Church in Hardin, was an active golfer and bowler, and loved to play bridge.  She also volunteered at the Big Horn County Historical Museum.  She was proud to help her husband, Ronnie, with his readymix business, serving as secretary-treasurer of Koebbe Construction, Inc.

Eunice is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings James, Walter, Cleo, Robert, Geraldine, four siblings who died in infancy, sisters-in-law Arylene Nagel and Joyce Huss, and brother-in law Dean Huss. She is survived by her children Keryl (Perry) Hallford, Kim (Glenn) Morgan, Kurt (Shirley Chavez), Kerrie (Jerry) Ramstead and in –laws Myron and Marilyn Koebbe Strand, Rudy Nagel, Margaret Torske, and Bobby Henley.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four great-grand-children, eight step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Carol Greimann, Dr, Adam Zelka, and the loving caregivers and staff at MorningStar Senior Living.

Funeral services will be at the First American Lutheran Church in Hardin on December 29, 2017, at 11:00 am.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to First American Lutheran Church, Big Horn County Historical Museum, or the charity of one’s choice. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
