Gary Dean Speak Thunder Ten Bear

FT. BELKNAP ~ Gary Dean Speak Thunder Ten Bear, 46, made his final journey on March 26, 2017 surrounded by his family. 
 
Gary was born May 13, 1970 to Phyllis Speak Thunder and Gary Ten Bear Sr. in Fort Belknap. He was raised by his maternal grandparents Evelyn and George Speak Thunder in the Valley. 
 
Gary had many hobbies: master gardener, fisherman, artist and hitchhiker extraordinaire. He met the love of his life Gayleen “Teenie” (Matt) Ten Bear, and together they were master gardeners. 
 
He is survived by his mother Phyllis Speak Thunder of Ft. Belknap; his son Kevin Ten Bear of Ft. Belknap; his father Gary Ten Bear Sr.; his sister Nicolette Longfox; his brothers Tom “Geese” Jake, Robert Longfox, Sterling Longfox and Brooks Cochran; his adopted siblings Ronald George Speak Thunder, Lois Speak Thunder, Verna Speak Thunder, Leon Speak Thunder, Leta (Swede) Cole, Wilma (Dennis) Juneau, Benjamin (Mary) Speak Thunder, Dean Speak Thunder, Donald Matthew Speak Thunder and Loren (Maria) Bell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends, especially his Ten Bear family in Crow Agency. 
 
Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents Evelyn and George Speak Thunder, and his loving partner Gayleen Matt.
 
Traditional Native American wake services will be conducted at the home of Phyllis on Rodeo Drive in Ft. Belknap beginning Wednesday, March 29. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Fry Bread Fellowship Church with Pastor Bruce Plummer officiating, and burial will follow in the Pink Church Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
